Description
After centuries of persecution, the early church joined hands with the state, and began to get involved in military service. The Anabaptist movement stood for separation of church and state, and was severely persecuted. Many Anabaptists moved to America for freedom of religion, but faced opposition there also, especially during the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and World War I.
