God never changes, but because of progressive revelation He relates to us differently. Under the New Covenant, the people of God are a group of volunteers, not just children of Abraham. The life and testimony of the Christian is to be part of the progressive revelation of God to the world. The last record of God is in you. Does the world see evidence of your undivided allegiance to Jesus?
