The King James Version of the Bible was the English translation of choice for hundreds of years. When efforts were made in the 19th century to update it, a new Greek text was introduced based on older but unsound manuscripts, which is the basis for nearly all newer translations. This issue, and the looser translation styles often employed, are the main concerns presented in this message.
