The Christian’s Bill of Rights

“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Thus reads the preamble of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. But how reads the preamble of the “Consitution of the Kingdom of Heaven?”

Certainly, all men are equal. And equally certain is the fact that all citizens of the kingdom of heaven have rights, even while living as foreigners on planet earth.

All citizens of the kingdom of God have the right to:

  1. Death to self. Let no one—in any way, shape, or form—take this liberty from you! Cling to it with the last ounce of your strength.
  2. Servanthood. Being the place of highest honor in the kingdom of God, seek diligently for ways to serve those around you. Let them be the head, and you be the tail. This is an absolute right in the kingdom of God, and let no one snatch it from you.
  3. The pursuit of holiness. This unalienable right is given to all men, by God the Creator. Guard it carefully, young man!

Freedom from chains Now, let’s look at the wording to the preamble of the Declaration of Independence of the Kingdom of God:

“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Christians are reborn equal, that they are regenerated by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Death to self, Servanthood, and the pursuit of Holiness.”

Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Declare your independence from the galling chains of Satan, self, and the flesh! Break those chains of bondage and begin to excercise your rights as citizens of the kingdom! Rejoice!!
